When sexual harassment happend in the workplace women normally see this problem as more serious problem than men.In Malaysia sexual harassment is seen in accordance with the two main legal criteria(Kementerian Sumber Manusia 1997).According to the Ministry of Human Resources under the Code of practice as the Prevention and Eradication of Sexual harassment can be devided into two categories which is sexual coercian and sexual annoyance.with all the prove by the legal of Ministry Of Human Resources and complaints made by the victims and witnes sexual harassment can be prove when its happened and action can be taken to the harasser.

I think that having a security equipment like a CCTV can prove that sexual harassment are actually happened in the workplace. Because some people didn't even bother of the cctv existance.

I agreed, with the existance of cctv can help to prove sexual harassment happend in the workplace and it can be the evidance for any complaints made by the victims.Ironically according to the company's sexual harassment policy,sexual harassment complaints were supposed to be made through these supervisors.(Cray,1997).The supervisors should take action to all the complaints so that it can help to support victims and punish harassers and when there is a clear and consistent statement from the management that sexual harassment will not be tolerated.

i've read some of the blogs in the internet, many victims take times to complaint and do report to the department that responsible in such cases... i just wondered why..

Some of the case of sexual harassment in the work place remain silent because no report been made to the department by the victim.Most of the case of sexual harassment happend to a women and most of them working in lower post in the department.It can be very difficult for a women to object to sexual harassment when the harasser is in a senior position.When a women working in a lower position they might feel scared or worried that they going to loose their job if they do a report and the incident don't have any evidence to prove it.That's why some of them remain silent or take their time to make any report of the incident.Thats why any prove ,example witness or cctv can help them to make a report to the department and solve the problem.

I agree with the suggestion in having CCTV in the strategic place in the office. CCTV should not only being placed at the public area. It also can be put at the private area such as pantry, emergency exit, store and others.

In my opinion, sexual harrasment not only happend to a women in lower post but it also can happend to a women in the higher position. Sexual harrasment also can happend to a men.

yes, it happened to the both gender actually.. maybe there are no actions to some cases is because they only look for the the most serious cases.. probably..

It's happend to both gender but its doesn't mean that they look at the most serious cases then they take action. The victims don't want to make any report or complaint because worried and feel embaraces to come foward and worried it's become big issues.Even the employers also just don't bother to take any action or make rules and regulation about this matter.That is why our goverment legislate the law to protect the employees from sexuall harassment problems.Ministry of Human Resources under the Code of practice as the Prevention and Eradication of Sexual harassment play they roles to deal with this issues.So for that victims are encourage to come foward to make the report or complaint about any sexual harassment action happend to them.With this its doesn't matter wether the cases is serious or not its still have to go through this law.

yup!! agree with that.. for this time being, cctv look like the only way that can help prove sexual harassment happen in the workplace.. but, employer should place it at the right place so that it wont cause any other problems or difficulties in the future.. and, we have to remember, not everybody will feel pleased and happy with the existance of cctv in their surroundings.. so employers should make right decision to where to place it..
